I get this sometimes with 6.0.1.
Whenever you open the silo with out telling Legato about it. It seems to get p155ed off and die.
Try turning silo off. Shutting down Networker. Turn silo back on. Wait unitl Silo had finished diags. Then start Legato. That was my fix on how to solve but it isn't a long term solution. Don't ask me what I am going to do once we need to take tapes offsite.
