Hi...

I've decided to make a partition.
I would like to have xp pro on a 10gb and 50gb for storage.

On setup can I just enter 10000...ie will xp work out the exact amount, or will I need to enter the exact amount 10020.(remember seeing this somewhere)

Reason I ask is,I'm not 100% on the size to have for xp.Thats why I need to know if xp works it out, that way if I want 5gb,I assume I can type 5000...?

Thanks guys.

10000 is fine. It is expressed in megabytes and understands the 1024 disinction.

Well it really depends on how many applications you plan to install, and the size of those applications. I would at least use 20 gb on a 60gb drive for xp, as it is much better to have too much space, than too experience virtual memory errors due to low space. How many applications do you plan to install?

Thanks guys....planning to have around 20 applications...largest one being office 2003.
