I prefer right clicking on links and then opening up a new window to view.
Recently, the size of the newly opened window is about a third of the screen and I need to manualy increase it to view it properly.
Any suggestions on what to do to have the new window open up to a maximum viewing area?
Thanx in advance,
bk

I too prefere to have links open in new windows, (most of my website's links do automaticly! ;-)) so what I have selected is to not . This can be changed in Tools->Internet Options and then the advanced tab. In here, scroll down a bit till you see 'reuse windows for shortcuts' untick this and it wont do exactly what it says!!
So when you do this, then window should now open in max view......
there is a setting in the registry (I think) to set the size of the new window when you open a new one....but Im still looking!!!! Jay~

My new Tae Kwon Do website is up and running!!

Thanks for your help!
I did this and it did not work.
When I right click on links and click on "Open in New Window" I still have to manually maximize the window.
I did what you said, closed all browsers and even rebooted even though I was not prompted to reboot and I still have to maximize the window.
thanx

I did get it to work with your help.
I did what you said then resized the window manually to its largest position and closed all browsers and now the new window opens large.
thanx

Sorry if any of this is duplicated.

Many solutions to choose from. I don't recommend running 3rd party apps, but if that's the only way:
==================================================
try double-clicking on the Titlebar.
==================================================

If you're running in 1024x768 screen area, type this into the browser window:
javascript:resizeTo(1024,768);

If you're running 800x600, type:
javascript:resizeTo(800,600);
==================================================
BEST CHOICE:
****When the windows opens, drag the borders, top, right, bottom, and left to the size you want (almost filling the entire screen). DO NOT use the maximize button.

Now choose File>Close, DO NOT use the X in the top right corner. Go back to the page you just opened the new one from, choose View>Refresh and now click the link again, it should open to the size that you just closed it from.****

=================================================
Reset New Browser Window Size
Sometimes Internet Explorer 5 "decides" to remember the wrong size for a new window. Whatever you do, you can't seem to get it to remember a normal size.

Backup the registry and/or export the following keys:
go to Start>Run, type regedit. Navigate to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\InternetExplorer\Main
Delete the value Window_Placement
Exit the Registry Editor

==================================================
AutoSizer automatically resizes any window you specify. For instance, some web browsers open up in a non-maximized window. Using AutoSizer, you can set those windows to automatically maximize every time they’re opened. It works with almost any program, including web browsers, Notepad, etc. AutoSizer stays running in the System Tray (next to the time), so it stays out of your way while it works.
