Site to Site VPN Issue

Site to Site VPN using RRAS works fine. One site is in the datacentre with a gigabit connection to the internet, the other side is in the office with a 2Mbit link. RRAS routes between the sites fine. Each site is on a seperate subnet.

After a number of hours however, it stops routing traffic, however in RRAS the Demand Dial link still shows as connected. Its as if the VPN dies and RRAS doesn't realise to re-dial?

Is the RRAS behind the gigabit data centre connection or the 2MB connection ?

There is a RRAS unit either end dialing to each other. Works fine for a 'while'
