Background - Could not connect to CND, found DECT JVM application stopped. Asked our IT folks to backup the OTM laptop and re-install the Applications disk. When only Sample sites were present in TM, I restored from the backup. The site and systems are still not appearing in TM. I searched the laptop for the site name and the system names; they still reside on the hard drive - but not in TM where I need them. I did not configure the OTM or PBX. It was vendor loaded and before my time.

Am I out of luck, do I need to find another vendor to configure? Pleeease help! Thank you.

Providing the phone system is running OK, then you will only need to reinstall TM and sync the data from the PABX system

True, but you will need to build the site and system data before you can do all that. Plus if it was doing call accounting and reports all that is gone too. Something an end user would not know how to do. I have never restored one from backup, so sorry, I'm no help in that regard.

Thanks for y'alls input.

I can run TM on the laptop, not sure yet whether I'm really connected to the PBX or Call Pilot yet - I.T. took over again and is trying to restore previous configuration. I was hoping for a magic fix like running a certain script or such.

As far as the phone system running okay; it is except for some folks running off of an expansion cabinet. I would really like the OTM running normally so I could quickly identify the symptoms. Cycling power to the cabinet didn't fix them.

Again, I appreciate the help. -Monte.

I would say it's time to call in a professional to get you back up and running. As Clint Eastwood would say, " A mans got to know his limitations

Thanks FirebirdScrambler and KCFLHRC. I was able to ping the Hub, PBX, Call Pilot, and our second system for the OTM laptop, so connectivity isn't the issue. I.T. is still working on restoring the old configuration but I haven't heard of any progress. I passed on the thought of calling a licensed vendor.

Does anyone know of reputable vendors I could call?
PROBLEM: Site-System configuration missing after reloading Application Software CD, restore from backup did not recover.

My IT folks gave up on it since they don't know the system. Time for a professional to fix it.
