The images of the client categories are abit too big for my taste. I do not like to scroll the page to see only four links...index.cfm without images said:Left Nav [blue]Home[/blue] Seperator [blue]Clients[/blue] Seperator [blue]Projects[/blue] Seperator [blue]FAQs[/blue] Seperator [blue]Contact Us[/blue] Seperator
Which is fine with me.I sure wouldn't buy a web design service that can't produce a site that doesn't even start to validate!

Sorry, seems that I was not clear enough. I meant to just not put alt text, not to remove the [tt]alt[/tt] attribute.GUJUm0deL said:Well, i'd prefer leaving the alt tags on ALL images, even non-essential images like "seperator". Having alt tags on images is always a good practice.

No. It's only good where the alt attribute provides a meaningful alternative to the image. Think of it like this: if you were reading your page out down the phone, would you say "Left Nav Back to Homepage Seperator Back to Clients Seperator Back to Projects Seperator Back to FAQs Seperator Back to Contact Us Seperator"? Cos that's what a screen reader will do for a blind person, and also what Google will do when trying to make sense of your site.Having alt tags on images is always a good practice.
The look of things is what CSS is for. If you want to make your unordered lists look like a set of paragraphs, you can switch off the bullets and the indenting accordingly. They're still lists and should be marked up as such in the HTML.I like the look of this style better
Why are you so quick to dismiss comments like this? johnwm is a potential customer for you as is everyone else who reads this thread or visits your website. There's not much point asking for advice if you are going to ignore the helpful answers.johnwm said:I sure wouldn't buy a web design service that can't produce a site that doesn't even start to validate!

As for comments on the actual site, I'd say:
1) It's semantically incorrect in lots of places. There are tables everywhere, inline attributes dictating their styles and (as said previously) it doesn't validate. If you want to come across as a professional web development agency, I'd say that these things were vital, as personally, if I was looking for someone to design my ite, this would instantly put me off.
2) Why is there nothing in the projects section? You'd be better off not including it rather than have an empty section as it looks as it gives off a message that you are struggling for work.
3) The date at the top of the page doesn't cope very well when the text size is increased (it dissappears behind the image). Is it even needed though as it doesn't really serve any purpose?
4) The front page scrolls horizontally for me yet only reveals a footer. Is ther any space you could save so it all fits on one page?
Apart from that, it's quite easy to navigate and well laid out.

You mean the front page scrolls veritcally, right? What screen size are you using where the scroller appears? The front page scrolls horizontally for me yet only reveals a footer. Is ther any space you could save so it all fits on one page?
That's becuase <p> and <h> are both block level tags. You shouldn't include one within the other.1. The only part that doesn't validate is about a P-tag not being closed, yet it is. In view-source you can see the tag properlly closed. The tag placement is: <p><h5 class="headerName">ABOUT IMAJIN ARTS</h5></p> But the validator insists that the P-tag is not closed.
Comming soon!
