Stop that menu flashing at me for a start...

Then, create a normal HTML menu so that I can see it when I don't have JavaScript turned on or if I was a search engine.

Some things:

[ul]
[li]Look into using a tableless design for the site.[/li]
[li]Flashing menu is hard to read, difficult to see, and even worse to use (CSS Menuing[li]
[li]Flash header seems to repeat over and over again. Have it go through once and stop.[/li]
[li]Flash header is repeated on all pages which is unnecessary. Consider using a standard header for subsequent pages.[/li]
[li]Images used for Home, All Wines, etc. should just be a list of menu items, not images.[/li]
[li]In regards to images, missing ALT and/or LONGDESC tags for most[/li]
[/ul]

Thank you both ;I ll work on it.

At actually looks really bad in my version of IE.

- The top menu is of to right
- the chechout button is hard to read like the all wines button
- it has black lines in the body and top things
- the images are al different size wich makes it a bit messy looking
- the bottom menu (home-...) would look better if it was also white on re instead of red on white.

Just a my 2 VB cents.

Thanks for looking,I 'll work on it, but which images ? on products they are all 250 pixels high or 100 pixels for the categories.

I don't think the menu is screwed in all the way, it's flikering!

Look into using less tables as mentioned, and where tables are ued, also use css to make them nicer. the default shadow borders scream 1997!

Otherwise, I'm just not sure what you'r going for in the overall layout / design. i just see blocks of red and a block or white.

keep at it, and you'll get it right where you want it.

Thahn you all , I tried to reajust all you said ,hope now my site is correct now!

It's definately better visually but there are still a lot of technical issues. The ones's I'd start to fix first are:

1) It still doesn't validate to the DOCTYPE you've given it (see my second post above).
2) You've still gone with a completely javascript menu so search engines and users without javascript simply can't navigate around your site very easily.

- From the initial homepage ( clicking the "Home" link at the very bottom of the page causes all the content to move down by 1 or 2 pixels

- Your header bar extends all the way to the right of the screen, but the footer bar does not (looks inconsistent)

- You have a JS-based menu, when you really don't need to (this is v.bad for accessibility and v.bad for SEO)

- You use tables for layout when you really don't need to

- Why put boxes around each of the top 3 lines in the "Contact" screen, but not the bottom? It looks weird. Create a style and use it consistently throughout the site.

- Why is there a box at the top left of the "Contact" screen saying "Welcome"? It looks out of place for the "contact" section.

- In Firefox, clicking the "Home" link in the side nav causes the nav to jump out by about 10 pixels, and then re-seat itself

- After buying an item stop the awful auto-redirect to shopping basket. If I want to go to my basket, I will navigate there myself (so you should have a link to your basket on the side-nav, near the checkout link)

- The "Update Totals" link (on the checkout page) causes JS errors in Firefox ("document.checkoutform has no properties"), and thus does not work at all.

- The "Delete" link (on the checkout page) causes JS errors in Firefox ("document.checkoutform has no properties"), and thus does not work at all.

- There is a triangular icon on the checkout page under the "Select" column. What is it's purpose? Why have it? It could be confusing to many users who think it might do something.

- The "Checkout" button (on the checkout page) causes JS errors in Firefox ("document.forms.mainform has no properties"), although still takes you through to the next page.

- On the page after checkout, where you enter your details, if you enter nothing, and click "Checkout", you get a "Page not found" error, and no validation warnings.

- I can create an affiliate account with no sanity checks in place (I entered "d" for all fields, and got an account immediately)

I think I'll stop there - the list could go on for a long time

Hope this helps,
Dan

Hey, it’s getting better!

BillyRayPreachersSon list should not only get you started and give you something to do, but also show you what kinds of other things to look for not specifically mentioned.
