Site Review Please?

Hi there i am trying to set up a little business in the college holidays to design small companys websites.

Heres my website

Please take it easy on me as its only the second site that i have built.

I checked your page, and it generated some errors. If you are offering web site design services, and have HTML-errors on your own site, people may choose another designer.

some suggestions:
the font on your tabs is hard to read, colors are too contrasting.

The portfolio is kinda small (1) i'd wait till you have a cuple more up. to the customer it makes it look evidant that either 1) you're not very good and you only found one customer, or 2) you're very obviously just starting out, some people tend to shy away from young business. you have know idea how many times i've heard, "I can use you, or this other guy who has been doing this for 10 years and isn't going anywhere, you could leave tomorrow."

in faq blue text on black background is hard to read.

in contact the black background and white form elements are very harsh on the eyes.

My first thought when I hit the page was that this was a medical or similar site.

Just what does a syringe have to do with design? Sure, you have surgery in the name but thats hardly a reason to have a syringe as one of the most prominent parts of the page.

We can provide two different types of Web Site Design which are HTML and Flash. The later making it possible to add animation and sound to a web page.

While this is true about flash HTML can produce the same effects using embedded sound and graphics.

"What is SEO?" you may ask. SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. This is where your Web Site is set up properly so that the site will receive the visitors it requires.

This is totally out of place as it appears 3 paragraphs after SEO is mentioned. Also, as you are in Scotland, it stands for Search Engine Optimisation.

On the contact page, most people are likely wanting to see an address so that they know you are actually a company. Not having any contact details except a form is pretty much going to lose you most potential clients. The only way I know approx where you are is because of the opening statement on the home page.

e.g 100MB of space will allow 000s of standard webpages to sit on the server.

Think you might want to correct that figure.

Not tested this but your formail script looks like its wide open to spammers.

Question: What if we are not happy with the work that you have produced for us?

Answer: No payment will be asked for if you are not completely satisfied with the service.

So, if I tell you that I want a site build one way, then change half way through and continue to do so, you will continue to build to my request or not charge me? This also means that you will not charge me any type of deposit?

On your navigation menu you have flash design listed, why then can't I contact you about this? The form omits this option.

Errors need corrected. Actually, I just read that whole page and most of it doesn't make any sense. You only have a few pages on this site yet you don't seem to have proof-read any of them??

When you say Higher bandwidth & Slower loading times it doesn't make sense at all. Slower than what? Higher than what? You can't compare a single product, you need to say that this is compared to HTML.

When I see phrases such as:

it looks to me like you are trying to convince yourself that because you use the same software, you are as good as them. The client doesn't need to know the software you will use.
