OK, I'm new to Dreamweaver, so this may seem too silly to some of you. I can't work out how to get the name for my site to be displayed in the Browser title bar.It just shows 'Untitled'. It's not covered in the Macromedia books, or the numerous 'How to Use Dreamweaver for Complete Fools' books that I bought. Any tips?

Look at the top of your window for your document, you will see a small icon that look like a document., with an arrow beside it.

Just click on it, and in the 'property window' you will get to modify your title name.

 Hope it helps.
Andre Vandal
dezign@canada.com
<a href= Dezign's Sites
A bit of eveything Celestial

The title bar is set very easily in the raw HMTL code, far easier if you don't have 'Display Headers' set in DW.

Just click the '<>' button in the bottom right corner of your pages DW window, whereupon the Code window will pop up. At the top of the page you'll see something like this:

New Document

You need to change 'New Document' held within the

tags to your page title.
ahdkaw
ahdkaw@sensibilium.com
<a href= you do visit my sites - be warned! You must be of a discordian nature...'

Alternatively, of course, you can just make sure that your main window is elected (in the page that you want to rename) and choose Modify/page properties
Then type your new page name in there (I only know this because I wrestled with just this problem about 8 months ago!)
