Site Connector Problems

I have been trying to set up a site connector between our two offices. Both have Exchange 5.5 servers up and running happily, but nothing I try will get a site connector working.

It tells me that I have insufficient access rights, but all the account set-ups are correct. There was a thread on this about a month ago with no resolution. Wondering if someone has something new to add...

Based on some KnowledgeBase articles, I am worried that my problem is because the organization names are different for our two sites. Is there any way to create a site connector between two servers with different organization names?

Thanks,
Dave [sig][/sig]

Nope. Site connectors are different sites in same organisation. In your case you will need to run either X400 or SMTP connectors. [sig]
Zel
zel@zelandakh.co.uk

[/sig]

Will that work just the same? Replication and everything else will function like a site connector?

Any drawbacks/limitations to going with one of the other connector types?

Thanks,

After doing some more reading, I guess I want to set up an x.400 connector. Unfortunately, I cannot figure out where/how to do this. Is this option tucked away somewhere? Can anyone help with a general procedure?

Thanks again,

In Exchange Administrator select File|New Other|X.400 Connector...

Here are some Q articles that should help you configure the X.400 connectors:
