Hi Carl,

Looked at your site, thought it was very slick and funky! It all hangs together and works really well. Its about time I actually spent some time on my own website hehe.
Best of luck with getting the company up and running!

Really liked the look of it Carl.

I think the colour choices are really slick, like the text panels and backgrounds and the layout is really clear.

My only problem with it (outside of a few typos in the text) is the size - a 500K .swf, especially when you're loading in other movies for the portfolio section etc, is really big. It took a long time to download even on a DSL modem.

how long do you think ewan?..and what typo's did you see..i checked and re-checked and checked again..

thanks guys..

Theres a typo in the partners box at the end of the text. The whole thing works well but I do agree with the size issue.
Can you alter the open new window command once you choose your resolution so that it opens in the same window. I think that would be better, or ensure that it opens maximized.

Nice work.

Hope this helps
John

Nice site...one thing I noticed is that you would like to think all of the members of the Te-Tips community. Just wondering if this was supposed to be thank.

Anyway, very nice site...

Carl - I'll mail the typos I spotted to you.

It took about thirty five seconds for the site to load for me over a 512Kbs DSL link so dial-up is going to be about ten times that I reckon. Is there a way you could split it up more? The loads for the individual sections like contact and portfolio once I was in the site were super fast...

just lovin that preloader Carl! ;-)

In Partners you have "...we would couldn't..." typo.

Very nice. Well done.

but then again, just noticed that Francois had pointed that out in his solo thread.

Carl, on a dial up and it took about 2 minute's to load.

Apart from the load time, REALY nice looking site man. Need to get back with mine again, letting it slip. heheheh

my god!
how long do you think I was going to sit and wait for your site to load on a 56k? find a way to drop the load time or give me something to do till the main site loads!

the average attention span is 7-9 seconds, after that you have increased your risk by 90% that the client will loose intrest! :-(

thanks guys for the look see.will fix the typos later this evening..

dave..what can i say..the best pre-loader in town =)

want to especially thank you and old, and ewan for all your patience with me the last year..and all that great knowledge you guys pass around..owe you guys a ton of thanks..

and also i will break the site up even more..will bring that size down..

will re-post when i'm done to give it one more test on the download times..i really wanted it to be as much together as possible so i can guarentee smooth transitions..(dreaming i guess :) but i will break it up some more..

One thing i hate is scroll bars....Why don't you keep the index in it's window and open the site in it's own window but fullscreen(no buttons and all...)

Beside that "Very nice site" i give it 4 and a half Stars
oups...only can give one ;-)

Have Fun...
