Hi,
I'd like some clarification on the definitions in the "Single Instancing" tab on my primary copy please.
I have backed up a single server with a full and some incrementals to get an idea of "SI savings". Total data size is 201GB with a compression ratio of 1:35.
Total size of Single Instanced data: 33.72GB
and
Total data size on media: 114.41GB
I'm interpretting this as I have 201GB of restorable data. Actual space taken up on the maglib is 114GB, of which 33GB is SI'ed". That would mean I'm saving 81GB of maglib space??
I hope I've attached a pic...
Thanks,
