Hi,

I am trying to integrate a 3rd party IVR to a CM 6.3 via Session Manager 6.3, all call routing is working fine but the customer would like to display some additional data from the IVR on the IP handset display.

I can see the data being sent from the IVR in the UUI (x-user-to-user-info) header but I am not able to get this info to appear on the IP handset display.

Header example - x-user-to-user-info: SB_1234556_QRY

Is this possible?

Communication Manager follows the IETF Draft draft-ietf-cuss-sip-uui-12 for UUI via SIP. The header "x-user-to-user-info" is a propitiatory header not supported by CM. The 3rd party IVR would need to follow the IETF draft standard in order to display additional data to the handset.

Header example above: x-user-to-user-info: SB_1234556_QRY
Converted to a syntax supported by CM: User-to-User:53425f313233343535365f515259;encoding=hex

Thanks for the reply, I have requested the IVR provider modifies the header and changes to Hex.

Once this is done, what is the best way to configure the UUI message to display on the Avaya Handset?

Thanks Again

Program a uui-info button on the phones. Here is a list of what is needed:

--system-parameters special-applications
(SA7778) - Display UUI Information? y

--cor n
Page 2 -- Station-Button Display of UUI IE Data? y

--station xxxxx
BUTTON ASSIGNMENTS
yy: uui-info

If it is a SIP phone, the type would have to be SIP Call Center, e.g., 9641SIPCC

Thanks again for your reply.

The 3rd party IVR is now sending the SIP message as you said and I can see this in the TraceSM but I cannot get the uui-info key to work.

Is there any way of proving the UUI message is reaching the CM/IP phone?

One other question...... once we have this working is there anyway for the UUI info to show automatically on the handset, perhaps in place of the calling number or VDN name?

Thanks
