SIP trunks with J100's - block outgoing CLID

Good day folks. I'm hoping someone with more experience with SIP trunking (we mostly do POTS or PRI) can help me out.

I've got a customer running an IPO 500v2 at 11.0.2. They have SIP trunks that are sending CLID based on the SIP tab on the user programming (internal data). Their accounting department would like a button they can hit to force PRIVATE or something like it so people that are avoiding collections calls won't know it is them calling.

Is there a quick way of doing this? I've tried a simple bridged appearance button to a non-existent set and an unused analog station but that doesn't work.

Use a short code like 8N / Dial / N / 51:ARS Withhold number

Make a URI for the SIP trunk, with a unique Outgoing Group number, using Auto for the Local URI and Contact Dissplay and Content.

The ARS table will control the outgoing caller id, not the SIP tab on the user.

Most SIP providers won't send any outgoing CID if you don't specify anything in the ARS table, so try

N; / N / Dial3K1 / LG for Auto URI

Or possibly
N; / NW / Dial3K1 / LG for Auto URI

Good luck, most people that have been getting calls from collections know better to answer ANY call that does not have a caller id or is not in their contacts call log.

I follow that policy myself and I don't have collections after me. If I don't know the number I don't answer it as it is always either a telemarketing call or a scam.

All I can do is what my customer wants. Tracking down their customers is their concern, not mine
