We had a customer call and ask why they no longer see the calling party name when receiving calls. We had recently moved them to SIP trunks and they had this feature on their analog trunks.
I used Monitor and could see the caller-ID name and number in the trace, so I know there must be a way to display the name.
Customer is running 11.0.4.x - I tried changing some SIP URI settings in the SIP Line configuration, but no change. I went ahead an opened a case with Avaya Support.
While waiting, I found that in Rls 11.x there is a new SIP Advanced tab. I enabled: "Caller ID from From Header" and it worked!!
I let the Avaya Engineer know and he found a KB article showing this same setting for other releases:
(attached the PDF printout of this KB below)
Hope this helps someone out..
Cheers!!
