Is anyone doing it? I'm trying to zero in on a SIP trunk solution for a few dozen LSP sites. I'm leaning away from using SM and bunch of Branch SM's mainly because it just seems like too much to install, harden, and maintain going forward at all of those sites (or am I wrong?).
Option 2 would be to use something like an Edgemarc 4806 to hand off PRI at the LSP site and continue living life like it exists today. LSP provides the failover for those G450's. I'm OK with this but it seems old school to keep the PRI cards, slots in the G450's, etc......
Option 3....Can I just install a small SBC (like the 4806) and configure SIP trunking direct to CM using the LSP as the backup call server? Is anyone doing this? Is this just a dumb idea altogether???
Thanks in advance!
