SIP Trunking on IP office

We have successfully set up our Avaya IP Office 500 v2 ver.6.0 (14) to use SIP trunks via les.net. Every other call going out of the switch uses the SIP trunk. The other half uses the 8 channel PRI. I have my fax line DID that we use on the PRI set up in a hunt group that can send faxes to two different fax machines in our office. I do not want either of my fax extensions (220 or 221) to attempt to use the SIP trunk to send a fax. How can I create an ARS that tells my switch for ext 220-221 use only the PRI? Also i want only certain extensions to use the SIP trunk.

Make different ARs and use user shortcodes that are pointed to an ars.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Hi jnetworkingsolutions,

I am trying to setup IPO running with les.net. Would you share your configuration information on the IPO side with screenshots of the applicable settings. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

There is a LES.net configuration guide on my web site (they list R4 and R5 but the R5 works with R6+). There is also one for Flowroute which I have had much better luck with in the US.

Can someone provide a link to what that shortcode might look like? I'm new to how LCR\ARS works.

ARS

N; / Dial / N@"<ITSP IP, Host Name>" / LG IS (the one you set up in your URI in your SIP trunk. I use the last 4 digits of the number you have on your SIP trunk so its easy to identify in your LG IDs

@jnetworkingsolutions glad that document worked for you. I haven't updated the LES.net document since 4.2. Sorry about that.

kholladay: Yeah. Your directions were perfect and i was able to decipher the version difference without too much trouble. Our SIP trunk is as clear as our PRI trunks. There is a slight difference I hear when the IPO grabs the SIP trunk to dial out and I know when it is getting used. But as far as call clarity it is great. NO NEED TO BE SORRY. Thanks for the documentation!

So I was able to get my switch to use the ARSs that make the most sense for our calling area. I'm asking my PRI to cover everything local and anything not deemed local by our lame, small LEC is "attempting" to use the les.net sip. I can see in my monitor logs below that les.net is showing busy on every other call and for those busies my calls fail over to my PRI. Les.net said my peer trunk will support 4 concurrent calls and the IPO is licensed for 5 sip trunks. I have les.net set up in my IPO 500.v2 6.1 (5) as one SIP line #17. Do i need to set up SIP line 18-21 to alleviate the les.net reporting busy.

can you post your config? upload it to a file sharing site. take out the sensitive stuff like DDIs, password etc.

997218mS CMARS: FindActiveARSByGroupID GroupID=0 - Not Found

Change the line group id in the SIP URI to 0 or change the ARS line group id to the one you have entered in the SIP URI now.

HSM sorry not sure what happened to the file. Also a far as Bas1234 says i did read and tried all the before mentioned tips without success. I changed it all back to LGID 0 to get it working again. If you still want to look i created a new link. Thanks in advance for looking. BTW sorry for the delay i got a nasty flu bug.

You cannot point a T1 and a SIP line to the same Outgoing group id

Change both incomming and outgoing line group id on the SIP URI to 2 instead of 0 and do the same for all the @did.voip.les.net" entries in your ARS.
You have a XN; and a XXXXXXXXXN; in the ARS this won't work, so remove one of them.

Then it should work.

Also remove the file you've put on mediafire, to much info in there.
