Is there any maintenance command so I can for a SIP trunk to drop down and re-register??

possibly:
sip busy peer xxx
sip rts peer xxx
where xxx is is the peer name

also:
sip busy force peer xxx

bonus points for anyone who can tell us how to do it when someone has created the SIP peer name with a space in it......

rts = return to service

or, we've found just going in to:
SIP Peer Profile Assignment
or:
the relevant Network Elements form
and clicking OK (without making changes) may trigger a reload of settings/re-registration

I've been told to go into the SIP Peer Profile form and press save, this will re-register. No need to perform any changes in the form.

just noticed a maintenance command on an MCD 6.0 SP1 system I'd not noticed before:

SIP REREGISTER PEER <PEER_NAME>


"Forces SIP Peer profiles associated with the specified network element to reregister with its registrar.
