Silly question...
what URI settings do I need so a user will send out whatever is in their SIP tab, but the blank ICR #'s still work? They only seem to work when the uri is */*/* which disables the user SIP tab.

Normally it would pick up the DID in the ICR, but alas, it is not. It just sends the users extension number and anonymous/unknown as caller id.

Don't hate, I'm still new to SIP. Seems every implementation is different.

Asked another buddy, he had the answer!
Make one uri with */*/* with 1/1 for group id.
Then another uri with internal data and 0/0 for group ID.

ICR's use 1, ARS use 0. Seems to enjoy those shenanigans.

Build it like this

Use internal data
*

Built separate incoming call routes.
And yes that is needed otherwise you have no option to route the calls.
The URI on users is used for outside calls but also for knowing all the URI's in the system.
URI's on users and groups are merge-able but on the SIP trunk it is not.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!
