SIP Trunk issue after upgrade

Hi

we upgraded a 5.0 ipo500 to 6.1 the other day. Why not 7, I do not know.
Anyway since the upgrade, the SIP trunk no longer works.
All the programming and routing etc looks correct, as it was before, but when you look on system status, it says the peer domain and resolved address is 0.0.0.0!

We have tried rebooting, deleting and re-adding the trunk etc. to no avail.#

anyone seen this before?

The credentials in 6.0 and up are move to a new tab, when upgrading from 5.0 you need to fill in the credentials agian.

Thanks for your reply.
Dont think that applies to us as we dont use credentials, our ITSP authenticates via IP address.
We have never used the Credentials tab with this ITSP.

The trunk resolved address in SSA shows as 0.0.0.0, so we cannot even ping the other end

are you using an IP or Domain Name for the ITSP.

Put the domain name (when you have DNS) in the domain name field on the SIP Line TAB, or if just an IP put it into the ITSP Proxy field on the Transport TAB.

you will then see in SSA is using DNS something like "spi.abcitsp.com resolves to xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" or if you use the proxy field you will see in SSA sip://123.456.789.000

we just use the proxy address, we dont use DNS.
I have just added another SIP trunk without deleting the old one, just to see...

Just waiting for a system reboot

Or put the ipaddress on both the domain name field and the proxy field.
We use trunk with registration too.

creating another trunk has just failed too. %-(

Solution:
Goto line > SIP Line > Use Network Topology Info; put it on "None" then it will use the IP route as the gateway address.


We did exactly the same upgrade but fixed the problem with the above solution.
 
Topology should always be set to none when you use:

1) an iproute
2) not using stun
