Dear,
I have installed in a IP Office 500 Release 9.0 with a SIP trunk like with 50 channels. It has to be registered with an username and a password.
The service's supplier asks as a requirement to the outgoing calls that the "From" field of the SIP URI sends the ID's username.

Settings for the outgoing calls:
SIP LINE --> SIP URI --> LOCAL URI: Use Credential Authentication Name
SIP LINE --> SIP URI --> REGISTRATION: 1: Credential Authentication Name

With this settings the outgoing calls are out with no problem.

The problem is in the incoming calls. When an incoming calls enters from the trunk line SIP in the traces, the screen shows the error 404 Not Found. The supplier sends the caller ID (12345678).

Settings for incoming calls:
USER --> SIP --> SIP NAME: 12345678
USER --> SIP --> SIP DISPLAY NAME: PRUEBA
USER --> SIP --> SIP CONTACT: 12345678
ICR --> STANDAR --> LINE GROUP ID: 17
ICR --> STANDAR --> INCOMING NUMBER: 12345678
ICR --> DESTINATION: 5678 (PRUEBA)

Could somebody help me with this problem that I've got?

Thank you very much for your help

I think the biggest problem is that the documentation is not great and I have to be honest my knowledge of SIP is trial and error to make work what needs to work.
That may be not the best way but once you find a way that works you usually keep it and don't test more new ways out any more.

One URI also for my trunks with all * entries so that all numbers are routed via incoming call route and another one to ensure that I can send any caller ID I need outgoing.
In some cases more than that to make sure that certain people send a certain caller ID via ARS and not via User entry.
No normal any more these days, everyone wants something different.

If you have multiple URI'S in a single SIP trunk and each URI has lets say six channels then in SSA you wil see six, twelf or as many URI's you definded multiplied with six.
So for ten DDI numbers you program 1 URI for each DDI giving you 60 SIP channels in SSA. Brr, that is just bad programming.
You can get everything with just one URI:
Incoming Call Routing based on DDI number
Outgoing calls through ARS and send a specific CLI using s<CLI> in the outgoing number field.
Forward callers CLI on twinned and diverted calls if desired
Anonymous when desired.

Maybe a FAQ is required : SIP what do those parameters do?
I won't do it as I already run short in time.
