SIP Trunk authentication with CM & Session Manager

I have a 8.0 CM along with Session Manager for SIP connections, but do NOT have an Avaya SBC.

I need to connect to a SIP trunk that has authentication (username / password) on it that I have to connect to, but cannot find a place to enter credentials using the above setup.

I see in the setup for the SIP Entity I can set the connection to untrusted, which, presumably means to use credentials of some form to make it trusted, but cannot find a place to enter them.

Does the CM / Session Manager setup support SIP Trunk authentication?

Also, this is not a SIP station with a standalone extension number, or an ATA device, but a 10 channel SIP trunk.

Any insights / helpful suggestions would be appreciated

Ken

A direct SIP trunk connection to your core routing without an SBC?

That's a dumb idea. Don't do that.
