Sip trunks tested and working - 2 way audio inbound / outbound

9.0.0.0(829) upgrade
2 way audio on outbound calls
no audio on inbound calls - connects properly, but no voice

Any thoughts / hints on what to check / where to look for changes on 9.0?

Thanks in advance!

Check your System/LAN/Network Topology/Firewall NAT settings.

Hello sagbab!

Network Topology settings are all the same as before the upgrade.
Firewall/NAT is set to ' Open Internet '

The pymssql module should enable you to talk to a ms sql DB without many difficulties.

The python side of things may be better discussed in the Python forum (it does not get a lot of usage here) or even on the python newsgroup comp.lang.python but you will be expected to at least try fro yourself & provide code examples f anything you cant get working.

Cranky, there are some new options so i would try them one by one and see what happens.

Hello again.

More info on same problem - no audio on inbound sip calls.

Logged onto Status and opened RTP Streams to watch calls, and discovered a clue; RX Octets (Slow)
- On an out bound call [ 2way audio ] RX Octets (Slow) reads 160, the same as TX Octets (Slow)
- On an in bound call [ no audio either way ] RX Octets (Slow) reads 0, while TX Octets (Slow)is still 160

Any info on the sip differences 8.1 => 9.0 would be greatly appreciated, as I can't seem to figure this out.

I've been away from this for a bit, but it's now been tossed back in my lap. So happy...

That is impossible as there is no 9.1

RESOLVED
After hours of changes and tests and reboots [ and cursing ], I have 2 way audio both inbound and outbound!!!

The last thing I changed was the codecs; I removed all but G711 from both System/Codecs and Lines/SIP Line/VoIP and worked like a charm. Then just to confuse myself I added G729 in front of G711 in the codecs list and it still works and sounds good after a reboot. ??????????????? Maybe in all my messing around I changed something else relevant, but I'm too stunned to remember; I don't care anymore, as long as it works....
