I want to know if the linksys ip telephones model SPA941 can work with the 3300 ICP. I know that from realase 7.1 we can connect sip phones.
Do I need licences for sip extensions or just the licences for sip trunks?
And if these telephones works with the 3300 ICP how many facilities we can have in the telephone.

Hi,

I know you need licences for the sets.
Sip trunk licences are for trunks.

Now, it's about French users too !!!

Here are the new licences :

SIP Trunk Licenses: 0
Analog Line Licenses: 0 used for ASU II
SIP User Licenses: 0

Now, it's about French users too !!!

OK, thanks .
Now, has anybody proved the linksys sip telephones with the 3300 ICP.

Nope. But I tried X-ten softphones. Cisco phones. Tandberg mxp units. Everything worked fine. I don't think that you would have any major issues. There is a chance that fancy features such as forwarding would not work properly. Basic calls most likely will go through.

SLAPIN:

Do you have instructions on putting the SIP firmware on the Cisco phones?

I am having problems with the Linksys SPA-941 phone too working with a Mitel 3300 in SIP mode. I have a Mitel 5215 phone working fine in SIP mode. The Linksys works when I call a 4-digit extension on the same controller but if I call out a PRI or even to the auto-attendent, I do not get any sound/voice. The call is made but then nothing. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I have configured a MultiTech mvp130 which connects a alog phone, this is configured using SIP Trunks on the Mitel system - SIP Extensions licenses were not used.

We have now installed around 14 of these units and work really well.

I'm going to be looking at configuring a Nokia n95 mobile phone with a SIP extension soon, i now need to look at how this is done, appently it supports wireless connection and SIP?

Carl527 have you got the correct default gateway set on the Mitel system and the handset?
