Hi There

I am using shortcode like this in ARS 00N;"@sip.voipbuster.com" this works fine for all users going out on line 17
when i add the same code on the user shortcode for line 18, user says it will not dial unless he pushes # after dialing a number beginning with 00

Any ideas?

Thanks Tom

what is line 18?

There is no need for "@sip.voipbuster.com" as it is added automaticly from the line settings.
The telephonecode may not have the semicolon in it:
SC = 00N;
TN = 00N"@whatever.com" the "@whatever.com" is only needed when it needs to be different as what you entered in the SIP line.
If you use ARS to go from one SIP line to another it will fail if the "@whatever.com" is not allowed on the other SIP line, that is why you should not use it.

intrigrant I just did a sip conversion from gwi to oxford networks and the only way we were able to get a call out from our sip trunk was to do exactly as icomm did, but this was on version 8.1

does your aes for line 18 have the same @ address that line 17 does, if not add it

user short code is exact same except we need that user to go out in sip line 18, and user shortcode points to that line. would prefer a straight dial without the user using a shortcode. Thanks Tom

You can't use the ; character anywhere except ARS tables when you use dial delay count (which you must be), you need to put in a user shortcode to send it to a new ARS that targets line 18 and put the ; character in there. The reason being ARS has a second timeout that is not effected by dial delay count, that's why it works :)

Thanks Mr. riddle
Pointing user to a second ARS did the trick.
