we have a openscape 4000 ver. 7.
we were asked to the establish sip for providing international calls.
during the process of deploying this issue,we faced some difficulties.
as i know some brands like MITEL have developed software for android and IOS for making and receiving calls using SIP protocol.is there any similar software for UNIFY?
If it is,would you please make us aware whether a license is needed?

the second issue is ,already,we have assigned a valid IP address to the STMI card which had been defined for SIP extensions.when someone located in other network calls a station in this network,we face two different situations.
1.the called person doesn't receive any call.
2.the called person receives the call but both caller and callee can not hear each other voice.
would you please help us solve this issue?

Hi,
A SIP trunk can be connected to an STMI card.
The trunk needs to be programmed up in the HiPath.
Also on the card changes would have to be made.
This would be a job for a HiPath installer because of its complexity.

The second issue is more than likely a network firewall issue.
The network is blocking ports.
