Sip problem to install with Iristel

Hi guys

I'm trying to install a test sip line here on my office from Iristel and i have a problem.
After all the configuration, seems look good. I can reveive incomming call perfectly but outgoing call are incompatible. The technician on Iristel dont find the problem and i begin to walk around now... there a trace of outgoing call

Just glancing at the trace I think you are trying to call out with the DNS entry but IPO can't do DNS
change your ITSP proxy address in the transport tab to their IP address and try again

and the same should be in your proxy address in the trunk, is your checkmark in the LAN - VoIP tab for SIP trunk enable (should be because it works incoming) and SIP gateway in?

On the LAN the sip trunk and registrar are check

that could be the reinvite on the trunk
try and change it to whatever it s not at the moment.

I doubt that it is a router issue because you can receive calls it is probably just a setting in the trunk

That the guy from iristel ask me to desactivate the re-invite.

The technician of iristel send me that information but im a little bit confuse about that. Im gonna try to pass without the stun to see what happen ...



As per our phone conversation I have managed to identify the issue with the outgoing calls.

Below you have 2 INVITEs packets. The first one is the correct format how it should be sent from your AVAYA IP Office 500 device and the second one is how we it was sent in the capture we did earlier today.

I have highlighted with bold and red where the change should be done (how it should be sent), also with bold black how is now set.

Ok but I have enter a DNS on the IP office and put the IP Adress on the proxy itsp and not iristel.net, what can i do more ?
 
the DNS entry in the IPO is only to supply it in case the IPO is the DHCP server and devices need the information. The IPO cannot do DNS lookups (yes we all want it since 2005 but Avaya is not that fast)
Check where else you have the name entered in the SIP entries (trunk shortcodes etc)

Westi, it does do DNS lookups, our SIP trunks run purely off the domain name of the provider...nowehere do we enter the address and it resolves it fine, same goes for NTP settingas we use uk.pool.ntp.org and it resolves the address just fine :)

You might, I don't... just the domain name, that's it. I don't even put it in the shortcode as it isn't required there either, it gets added automatically by the system from the resolved name :)

That's what I do yes, but adding the IP address into the shortcode will not stop it working, it works either way, it's just not required as oppose to needs to be removed :)

I didn't know that either. I always put in both like Westi. interesting... if you just enter the name does it not use invite x@name rather than resolved invite x@resolved_IP? If that's the case MikeSide will just have to change his short code from N@IP to N@iristel.net. But the FROM address needs to be changed also, not sure why it's showing your public IP. IPO normally sends the sip provider ip in that field. You must have something programmed incorrectly...
