Hi,

Does anyone know if it is possible to have the Mitel MiVB R9 have a SIP paging device added to a page group so they can use the page group feature codes to page 6900 series sets as well as the external SIP paging device? are there any workarounds?
I receive an error when trying to add the SIP extension to the page group - its unable to add it.

As always, thanks!

the only way to have simultaneous handset and loudspeaker paging is to use the 5485 ip paging unit. the algo's are only designed to be rung as a sip extension.

As an Added note

The base component of the 5485 unit is a 5010 phone. It does not recognise LLDP for Vlan Setting, It does not understand Option 125, it does not know about option 43. It can only be configured via DHCP (No static settings) and thos DHCP options MUST BE 128,129,130 and if Vlan'ed 132 and 133.

Mitel has shown no interest in fixing these issues.

Thanks guys!
@kwbmitel Thanks for the detailed info. I'm going to get one of those 5485 and try it in my lab. I do need VLAN but I was going to just use the network switch to put it on the correct VLAN. Thanks for the DHCP hints, i'll keep that in mind when I set it up.

Algo has a Algo 8180 SIP Audio Alerter that says it can be configured as a SIP pager. Never tried it though. Has a mitel guide for the 3300 on their site.

There is some hacks. Just wondering - what are you using for paging (i.e. do you have a amp with speakers, or are you using a ALGO SIP paging unit)??? Just wondering what you have in place right now.

Yep was using an Algo SIP pager already, but I cannot add it to a paging group - which is what i want to do. We have amp with speakers in a warehouse and need to page phones and warehouse at the same time.
I have a 5485 that i will be using, I just havent set one up before. @kwbMitel gave me some pointers that i will test out.
