Can system A host trunks for system B if the only connection between the 2 is an H323 line? OR do they need to be SCN together?

No, it will work it's just a protocol translation, you just need the correct shortcodes in place :)

any examples of this you know of....we are moving away from anything but SIP trunks, and we are hosting the Trunks in 1 location, though to me this seems like a terrible idea

It's all down to the links between sites, the bandwidth and latency will make or break your setup :)

We have a MESHed WAN, and QOS was supposed to be checked ahead of time. It just scares me that all the trunks will be in 1 spot. Would SCNing them together be the easiest route? I have Voice Networking Licenses at all locations. I mean really all I have to do is link them, they all have separate extensions. Im just trying to make it easy on myself....I already have H323 lines built, but they all land to an S8300 for 5 digit dialing between sites.

You can do this but the links and the trunks must have a good service level agreement!!!
If that is the case then i would not worry.
It is not your decision.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Which one would you prefer.....h323 or SCN? I mean really, the trunks are all going to be central anyways.

SCN.
Must more features.
