Hello Friends,

we have build a SIP trunk between SM & Cisco Router ( Tie Trunk ), calls are routing to cisco router through ATT, customer strips first 3 digits at cisco router send 7 digits on Avaya SM, all the DID sent are converted to VDN > Vector.

In Coming is working but we are having issue with outgoing.

SIP trunk group 600, Sig Group 600, Route Pattern 200.

I have added my Mobile number in ARS to make a call from my deskphone and added the location of the trunk in stations settings.

below is the error when we are getting when placed test call.

list trace station 1809955 Page 2

I am new to this SIP trunk configuration & troubleshooting any help would he highly appreciate.

Am i Missing anything in System Manager > Adaptations, below are the settings

Name Value

fromto true

iodstd <Domainname>.net

iosrcd <Domainname>.net

Thank you,
Sam

check public unknown to ensure you are outpulsing an ATT DID number you own. ATT will block otherwise

I crossed checked public unknown and its allowed. this trunk should allow all the DID irrespective of who ever is service provider.

Incoming calls are working and Originating DID's are from ATT ,which land on Cisco router in our Data center.
My mobile number is T-Mobile but when we make test calls, call are not hitting the cisco router, our Cisco Voice & Data team have confirmed that part.

Engineer who build this SIP made a mistake in System Manager > Adaptations, instead of the domain address he added the cisco router IP address.

I replaced Cisco router IP address with Domain name to resolve the incoming call problem. Now outgoing it giving same 407 Auth error. I am confused which setting i am missing.

sounds like you are doing domain based routing correct? Have you verified all your trunk, sig, and session manager routing is all using correct domain? I would suggest doing a TraceSM on session manager.

I am completely new to this SIP troubleshooting and configuration, if you can suggest what all information is required to determine the kind of routing i will gather and check it.

Truk, Sig, SM all are using same domain, incoming is working but i am getting 407 Auth error for outgoing

Are the dial patterns set up in SMGR? Add an entry for your cell phone number for testing and see if you get any better results.

I have setup the dial string in ARS and SMGR, my mobile number starts with 87, i added dial string as 18 so it allows all the numbers.

Do you have multiple SIP carriers routing out system/session manager? If so you need to create System manager locations and add the IPs of your phone network in there and then create your system manager route patterns based off of the location.
