Hi
I have registered okay my SIP trunks to voipfone uk but can't make any or receive any calls. I have played around with the absorb digits thinking I need to absorb 7 so I receive 4.

I have a wireshark trace but don't know how to attach it, any help pls.

most SIP trunks will be 12 digits so you will need to absorb 8 for DDI with 4 digits (441xxxxxxxxx)

have you set up all the bits in OG including ARS?

Also for I/C have you set up the SIP PeerProfile assignement by Incoming DID

Look in the system logs which may also give you a clue why the sip trunks are not working. Have you a flashing red alarm on your 3300?

Hi
Thanks for replying. I have a vMCD, but i don't have any alarms "SIP LINK STATE ALL" i can see my link as registered and i can see my call in ccs trace. My ARS is correct. I think it might be the options but am not sure what to set.

Check the sip peer profile for assigmment for ddi for incoming.

have you put the sip lines in a group to be used by ARS.

if the sip is registered then it has to be something missing in the options....

When you run a CCS trace for incoming calls what do you see when you call one of the DDI numbers?
Do you see the last 4 digits? If you see anything other then you will need to adjust your 'absorb digits' in the Trunk attributes form accordingly. (referenced in the SIP Peer Profile)

As for outgoing can you run the DGT trace command from the maintenance command to check that the outgoing digits dialled are being routed by the correct ARS route. Once this has been confirmed check the outgoing digit modification for the route to make sure you are absorbing your ARS access digit.

Hi

My ARS is correct. When i dial in i don't get anything in the ccs trace. Funny i can dial voipfone test numbers 155 0843257 6155.

Anything at all in the mainetanance logs when you attempt to dial in/out?

If you are not seeing anything in CCS trace then the call is not even getting to you, if the absorb digits are wrong then you would still see some messaging.
Is the link 'Live' have voipfone confirmed it has been brought into service?
Maybe this is why you can only dial the test number.
