Sip IM via Mitel 3300

We're trying to set up Sip clients on a Mitel 3300 system. Calls are no problem, but IM is not working.

We have changed the SIM capabilities to use 'Replace System based with Device based In-Call Features'.

Are there any other settings which need to be altered?

Can you provide more detail like what IM you might be referring to?



I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.

IM, instant messaging. e.g. option on X-Lite, Port Go softphones

So this is some type of instant messaging that is part of the SIP client? Not sure why that would involve the MCD.

Without any knowledge of how x-lite does it, my guess is that they use SIP info messges, which would go through the MCD, which I'm guessing they swallow.
