Hi, I'm pulling my hair out with this one. I have SIP from Gamma on a 9.1.4 Avaya IP 500 and it works perfectly Monday, Tuesday and then on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday afternoon around 1430 for the rest of the afternoon outbound stops completely whereas inbound calls ring the group and even though an ext answers it carries on ringing at the callers end. Then the IPO returns service unavailable and drops the call. If I don't make any changes to the system it will be working again the follow morning. I have a 100/100mb Ethernet service from Virgin. I've had the config checked by other SIP guys as well as the router and ports etc. I've turned off ALG on my Draytek and ensured all VOip is disabled via telnet. Please can anyone throw some light on this for me?

If it works, and then stops working, with no changes on your part, then chances are it's provider related.

For testing purposes bypass or replace the Draytek with a good Cisco and I'll wager it doesn't happen, if it does it's something upstream from you. We have no end of SIP/voip issues with drayteks :)

Thanks guys, I think I am coming to that conclusion myself after disabling the VOIP features via telnet I've had no SIP all day. I have ordered a Sonicwall tz3000 which will be here tomorrow. Fingers crossed - I will let you know the outcome :)
