Hi All,

been testing a sip line, with 1 sip licence and all went well. decided to buy another 5 pack, so i have 6 in all. i take it the 1 sip line can now handle 6 calls or do i need to add 5 more lines. cannnot test as i will not be back till monday, and i would like it functioning so that i don,t need to do a lot of reboots in advance.

From the docs;

Licensing
SIP Trunk Channels licenses is required in the IP Office configuration. These set the maximum number of simultaneous SIP calls supported by the IP Office. Multiple licenses can be added to achieve a cumulative maximum number of channels supported.

Subject to the SIP line provider also supporting multiple calls on the same account. Some at the cheap and cheerful domestic end on support 2 calls at any time. So talk to your SIP provider first.

thanks guys, does anyone know if voipbuster supports 6 chanels on the one account?

Never tried it, but i do know they only allow you to call for 300 minutes a week.

Crikey 300 minutes, did not know that. Who do you use Bas? Can you recommend a good provider for business? i am in Gibraltar. Thanks Tom

Registered users get max 300 minutes per week of free calls, measured over the last 7 days and per unique IP address. Unused free minutes cannot be taken to the following week(s). If limit is exceeded the normal rates apply. During your Freedays you can call all destinations listed as "Free" for free. When you have run out of Freedays, the normal rates apply. You can get new Freedays by buying credit.

Yeah 300 min of free calls, after that you'll pay the normal tarrif.
What you could do is create 4 voipbuster accounts point 2 to 192.221.62.198 and the other two to 192.120.0.198 then you'll have 1200 free min. Voipbuster only has two ip adresses and the Avaya can only be pointed to 1 ip address and one sip account can handle 2 voipbuster accounts each time. In other words If you would like to have two SIP lines then the ITSP ipaddress cannot be the same in both SIP lines.

But Voipbuster isn't a decent provider with support but it works well, you could always use a SIP provider Avaya has tested. Don't know you're locale but here in the Netherlands we use 12connect dot com.
