Hi,

We (Vendor and I) are trying to fix a sip call problem between two sites

Site A (Swiss)
CS1K Release 5.5 NRS - HLOC = 429 setup under AC2

Site B (UK)
CS1K HA Release 7 NRS - HLOC = 850 setup under AC2

Site B can call Site A over SIP, voice both way.
Site A can call other release 5.5 PBX over SIP (Site C,D,E).

Site A can't call Site B.

We can see the call reaching site B with Pcap, no FW issue. See below call from site A phone (7682) calling 8 850 2564 but it's always rejected with Q.850 cause 21

We have review all dialplan, CLID, AC2, tried to change NRS to UDP or TCP.. no luck.

Compare with 3 others site release 5.5 that works.
Sip works locally in site B using Sip Softphone

I changed domain name to contoso and user to John Doe.

Thank you
Gabtek

can any 5.5 site call the 7.5 site over sip?
(you mention something about comparing 3 other sites that work)

there is a functional difference between the two NRS versions.

Maybe you can point the 5.5 sites to the NODE ip of the 7.5 system not the NRS, (or point at the 7.5 NRS if you are pointing at the NODE ip already)

in the NRS 7.5 site, is there an option to TRUST the 5.5 site?

also, the option for proxy / redirect, have you tried both ?

5.5 was not a true SIP proxy, it just redirected the request to the endpoint and never setup the calls. 6.0+ started to handle the requests and setup the calls.

the message Incoming -- response 403 Forbidden usually means security has failed, not sure if there is some sort of security that is not being exchanged correctly....

Thank you for your relpy, we are investigating the "trust" option.
hope we have it working tomorrow.
