HI,
I tried to post this earlier but I don't see my post anywhere.

here goes: How do I get compression from an IP phone across a SIP trunk connected to a Cisco?

Logic says that requiring a DSP card and compression licenses is not necessary but how does one program this to happen?

Just say yes to compression on the route and the call will be compressed without compression dSP resources and licensing?

Thanks

If you compress a route with no dsp or compression licenses you will get an alarm on the pbx
