Hello, some among of you could remember about this project,
Almost done but something missed,
The remote phone seems to be works well at home through the IP Office but still no voice while calling,i used an adsl hosting the IP Office and Port Forwarding was configured,i heard about a SIP/ALG must be turn off in both side and i do not think that the device that used is support a such feature.

If yes i must turn off SIP/ALG on both side, what type of router would recommend will match this feature ?

Thanks,

Remote phone is not SIP, it is h.323 but some Routers have h.323 fixups as well. I think of Cisco in particular as they improve their own h.323 calls with added stuff that will break Avaya.

Thank you westi !!!

But it's necessary to apply this h.323 fixups on both side ?

No, remove them on both sides.

Kind regards

Gunnar

I usually turn them off if I have access to the router if it doesn't work without touching it otherwise I leave it alone.
For remote users all you need is 2 things and only on the IP Office side
port 1719 UDP and RTP port range UDP(see your system settings) forwarded to the IPO.
Some firewalls will actually let you get away with only port 1719 because they will recognize that your enpoint (IPO) talks to the other side on an RTP port and let the incoming connection on the incoming port (1 off from outgoing port number) go through.

It is a lot up to the firewall/router and the cheapest ones are least tricky in my experience.

Hello,back on this thread.
On the case that i do not focus about the H.323/ALG transformation on both router but all ports are forwarded TCP:1719 /1720 UDP and also all ports range RTP, could it be working with no issue audio ?
Because there are an existing router on both side that the customer doesn't want to replace them.

Waiting to your reply.

Thanks,
