In the call recording world what is single step conferencing. Also where would I administer the FAC in the switch. I do not see the field.......

archer1300,

single step conference is available only through cti interface, that's why you can't find the fac for it.

SSC is only available to CTI apps. It was primarilly designed for recording apps. Therefore, no FAC as you cannot use 1st part call control methods to invoke.

SSC is a conference as opposed to Service Observation method to intrude on calls. It requires knowledge of Call ID and Device and allows Listen-Only or Full Participation (generally Listen-Only for recording).

Benefit of Conference vs SO is you can still use Service Observation while recording with SSC. You can also record more than once (redundancy).

SSC is a unique way for a third party (recording app) to intrude on calls silently and without requiring first party (ie agent) to initiate the conference.

Does anything special need to be turned on for single step conferenceing to work? We are using a map d and cvlan for signaling.
