SINGLE SIGN ON. PLEASE HELP!

Please help with Single Sign on.

Hello,

Ive followed Microsofts directions, I have to following users and groups set up in acitve directory

(user)sso_config - local admin, sql admin, member of sso_admin_group
(user)sso_admin - member of sso_admin_group and sso_total_admin
(user)sso_serv - member of local sts_wpg and sps_wpg groups
public access with configuration database (ive even given admin)
sql server administrator role
(user)sso_eam - sso_total_admin

(group)sso_total_admin is what I have set to be the sharepoint administrative group


The SSO service is set to run as (group)sso_admin or (group)sso_admin_group


When I attempt to setup the SSO, I get the following message:

You do not have the rights to perform this operation.

Am I missing something, if anyone has any ideas they would be greatly appreciated Thanks

Did you end up getting this to work? You need to log into the job server as the actual account who will be doing the SSO Administration.

My problem is that I get an error "Failed to connect to the database server. Verify connectivity and rights for the configuration account and try again"

I have full access to the machine but still not working.

Yep, the SSO Service, Application Pools and machine are all running under the one account. Everything I can think of is running under this account so I shouldn't be getting any connecticity issues.

Is there another service/account that is being used that I am unaware of?

This is driving me crazy!!
