Is there a possibility to set up a SCO Unix box to validate users and groups in Active Directory (Windows 2000 platform) through LDAP? I have heard that this is possible since Windows 2000 offers its very own Network information Service (NIS) server when Unix service is installed.

Yes, there is a new product that is scheduled for release from SCO during 1st quarter 2003.

The software will redirect authentication to AD. This product is for SCO OS, Linux and HP-UX platform.

Guys:

You've both been helpful. Yes, I am looking at SFU, but at the same time, I am also looking at P-Synch, a tool which could synchronise more passwords, e.g. Lotus Notes, Unix, Novell, W2K, etc. Hvae you guys worked with this tool before? Any advice u could provide? At the moment, we are evaluating this tool together with a few others, to include SFU.

Cheers,
Kelv
