Ok I have a bit of a weird issue occuring with some of my AVAYA handsets, occasionally it will appear that some users will recieve a phone call from another user, say User A phones User B, on User B's phone User A shows up on the screen as you would expet, however, the phone onyl rings once and then disconnects instantly, and User A is completely unaware of this, no logs on either phone, nothing in the system monitor of any use that could point to this?

Has anyone else had this issue withj AVAYA?

I'm currently using IPO500 V2 version 9.0.3 if that helps...

Thanks for any info on this as I'm stumped.

Is user B hanging up correctly? Are they set to abbreviated ring? Check Internal auto answer.
It's often someone fiddling with the features button. Often they also manage to lock their handsets with hilarious results.

For some reason, this ends up as a discussion about SLAs- they think a 1 handset fault is like an event about level 12 on the Beaufort scale warranting a complete, company wide response.
If you want to buy some time while you get on with real work, get them to swap it with another handset. They can't ring back straight away because their handset is still locked.

I live for those moments.
Poopy bubbles!

I can only speculate at the moment but will ask, and the fact remains that User A "DID NOT" initiate any call, so it seems that calls are being made on their own!

No there is not, and User A has been a number of users, as well as B, this is not limited to 2 single users.

Then you try to isolate it to the lowest common denominator.

Building, card, module...poor earthing...
Also set up a time stamp short code, train the customer on when to use it ( straight after Banquo rings) and set a monitor rollover log with extension event, ars tracing.
What type of phones?
