Single letter indication on taskbar in XP

Minimized programs and IE Websites show on my task bar with a single letter instead of the full address or indication of address or program - this is very confusing because i cannot just click on the taskbar to switch because i don't know what the single letter indicates - please advice
 
There is no font issue - this really only happens with IE6 that each new IE window gets a seemingly random letter (M or H) instead of the full description. I have noticed this same phenomenon with several other computers running XP and IE
 
I resolved the issue - an older application named Papermaster added an entry to the systray - once that was removed my internet showed properly again - thanks for the efforts
