Hello,

I am having a problem with simultaneous paging. Here is the situation.

The operator is performs a simultaneous Page. During the page another employee picks up the phone to make a call. The page is cut off and the Operator and the employees phones are connected over the intercom line. The emploee was trying to grab an outside line. Is this how it is supposed to work? Any suggestions?

Mark

that's the way it's supposed to work, whoever picks up the page first is connected to the "pager", tell them if they want to make an outside call while the page is going off to hit a line button before picking up!

I would assume that if it was just an external page another person couldn't interupt the page?
Can someone confirm this.

Mark

Yes, if it were Loudspeaker Page (I-70) instead of Simultaneous Page (I-*70), lifting a handset will not cause a "meet-me" pickup. Might want to put in more speakers, and change the way they page.
