Hey all,

Is there an easy way to generate a report listing all my database tables, fields, data types, and the stored table/field descriptions alike the metadata reporting features in MS Access? I know I can generate the diagrams with this information, but they can get a bit hairy to look at when there is too much information being displayed in that manner.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

SELECT * FROM INFORMATION_SCHEMA.TABLES
SELECT * FROM INFORMATION_SCHEMA.COLUMNS

You'll have to copy and paste the results into Excel or use a reporting tool to format it however.

Thanks. Is there any way to display the data stored in the description property for the fields and tables as part of the above?

Thanks again! I can join the two of those together to get what I need.
