simple reoprt in Impromptu 6.0

Hi ,

I have 3 data variables, Product code,Net stock Amt,
Gross stock Amt.Here Net,Gross values are already
summirized no need calculation.

where the procduct code contians three codes
EQ,Bond,Gold

I need to get the following report in Impromptu 6.0.

EQ Bond Gold
Net stock 1000 2000 1000
Gross Stock 1000 1000 1000
total 2000 3000 2000



Could you please help me out.

Actually, the exact format you listed is tough to do in Impromptu. You would have to create calculated columns for each of the product types and then sub-total and suppress (hide) the detail.

It is fairly simple to do the report if you can live with the product types as row-level totals, and the other measures as columns.

Khanna,

Create nine calculated columns, as shown in your desired format. Using If-then-else calculations include the measures (Net-Stock or Gross-Stock) in the calculation as appropriate. The last three are just sums of the two rows above, as in

Column EQ_Net_Stock defined as:
Total (If (Product_Code = 'EQ') then (Net_Stock) else (0)) ...

Repeat this for each of the three product types , and then again for the Gross_Stock.

Then add the two calculations for each product type (Net and Gross Stock) together to get the totals by product type.

All of the report objects are displayed in the list footer of the report.
