Can someone who is telecommuting, not connected to the office lan that is, still use Microsoft Outlook and connect to an exchange server and see the Public Folders? Not using OWA.

Yes, you can use a RAS connection, VPN solution, and or a Terminal Server / Citrix Solution.

Citrix is possibly the best way of doing this but it will cost

Thanks very much for responding. If I used RAS, would I just add pptp, then set up RAS accordingly? Then the clients would make the vpn connection, and then after connecting and authenticating, they could then see the exchange server? Are they any gotchas to this type of setup? Can I use the server name in the microsoft exchange server configuration control panel, or would I need to use the IP address?

Thanks again for your help.
