Hi, Being more of a network engineer type I don't work with Windows 2000 Advanced Server much but today I have had to install a server. It is to be used as a firewall and I thought set up the routing service and get all the network configuration set up for the 3 NIC in the box.
But... there are absolutely no packets being sent or received on the interfaces. The links are up at 100Mbps, the IP addresses show up in ipconfig and route print shows all my routes. The routing service is running.
I am a little inexperienced with servers, is there some blatantly obvious MS windows thing I may be missing to get the server to communicate with the network?
Any advice would be appreciated.
