Hi
I have a Meridian Option 11 Unit

I was wondering if there is a way I can script a phone to be reactivated daily and add it into the scheduler. Basically what is happening, they are removing the phone at night and locking it away while the office is washed (Its a factory)
Obviously, every night the system does a sweep, finds this phone missing, and deactivates it. then next morning I have to log on to OTM and do the following

REQ: chg
TYPE: 2616
MARP NOT ACTIVATED

TN 4 10
ECHG yes
ITEM

and that will reactivate it.

In load 32, you can get the status of the each tn or card by doing
stat 4 10

you can find if the phone is connected at the end of the line by doing idu 4 10 TN number
If it give you nothing, that's mean there is no phone connected.

For the script, if you are connected in serial directly, you put script depending the system you are using.

Either, as I used, you can user SecureCRT (shareware license) to generate vbs script and lauch it when you are connected to server PBX

Hope that will help somewhere and let me know if you find better solution.

Have you been into LD 22 and checked out the OVLY settings?. I always remove 30 from DROL. I think you can also change a CLS of FLXD to FLXA that you can set to help prevent the phone from disabling.

If it's working, then leave it alone!.

Cheers

I shall try the FLXD to FLXA tonight and see if that makes a difference.

Out of curiosity, what does the DROL 30 command do?

TYPE ovly

OVLY
SID 0
BKGD 044
PBXH 01
TODR 01
DROL 030 043 044 135 137
MULTI_USER ON

Program operation
When invoked automatically by the system, the program performs the
following tests:
• network memory of each enabled network card
• continuity of the speech path to each IPE shelf (for enabled loops only)
• signaling channel to each line or trunk card (on enabled loops only)
• signaling channel through each Integrated Services digital line card to
each Digital telephone or data TN
• clock controllers are switched (if either DTI2 or PRI2 are used when LD30 is run in midnight mode, clock controllers will not be switched)

You do not want to take 30 out of the daily routines as it is there for a purpose (to check signaling/continuity) which you WANT to find if they are bad. Use the CLS=FLXA route.

That is a continuing debate. The system still reports major trouble, 30 or not. I'm on the fence with that. I run some systems with nothing in DROL.

nearly all of my sites have 30 removed against DROL to prevent wasted calls for disabled terminals. Even then, I still get the odd one that still occur.

All I tend to leave in is 43 44 60 and 135 / 137. All I can suggest is that you try it for a while to see if the problem stops. You can always put the prompt back in.

Ld 30 also has to be enabled for the system clocks to switch if you want that feature. It's definitely not necessary though. We remove LD 30 in all of our sites. No issues at all.

Just to let you know, I used the FLXA route on that phone, they unplugged it before leaving last night, and plugged it back in this morning, and it worked fine.

Success.

Many thanks guys.
