I pascal and QBasic, you can specify a beginning entry number and ending entry number. Is this possible to do in C++?

Nope, and it shouldn't ever be possible. Who ever in the world has invented the variable array bounds should be punished severely....

Greetings,
Rick

C was designed to program the unix operating system and to give maximum control to the programmer, so the programmer must check bounds on his/her own. C++ continues this tradition.

Pascal and BASIC were designed by university instructors to teach programming concepts, so they do many mundane tasks on their own.
BTW, the guy who designed BASIC should be shot because it's a really crummy language. But Pascal is a decent language.
