hi,

I want to set up a live, redundant server for my database server. I have an oracle based database running on Red Hat.
I am not interested in the high end clustering systems. Just a simple solution at a reasonable cost, which will update the redundant server in real-time and initiate the failover for whatever reason. Does anyone have any experience with any of the packages out there.

thanks
Gavin

Redhat HA project is also a good choice, it can be configured as service level failover.
